Being single can be really great sometimes. Other times it feels like everyone you know is snuggling up with someone and you are a lonely island in a sea of couples. Add the family and societal pressure that comes with being an adult in your mid-to-late-twenties and being single instantly becomes a whole lot less fun. Between working a full-time job and attempting to have something resembling a social life outside of that it can be really hard to meet people, let alone find the time to go on dates. I think this is why online dating has become so popular in the last few years but even that has its pitfalls. You never know if the person that you are talking to is really who they say they are.
