Have you ever gotten really into a book or series, only for it to have a really dissatisfying ending? Or has something ever happened in a book that made you immediately stop reading it?
What series was it? What made it so dissatisfying? Let me know in the comments!
I always found Stephen King’s horror novels to be great until the end, and then they were terrible let downs. I actually stopped reading his books because they always left me in a frustrated rage. As for books that I stopped in the middle, I think there’s only one. In like, the 6th Anne Rice vampire book, there’s a scene where Lestat is drinking a woman’s period blood that grossed me out too much to keep going. The book had been getting less and less readable, then that hit and I was done. ^_^;
I agree about Stephen King, though I’ve only read a couple of them. The one that made me rage quite at the end was Mockingjay. I was so mad I didn’t pick up a book to read for over a week. Which says something because I worked in a bookstore at the time.
